A Special Knife

I can remember mine well.

I was a bit intimidated by it at first - after all it was something I had never been allowed to have before.

My Dad taught me how to use it, and I just loved it after that.

Of course I was never as good as he was with it, but I made a good attempt to carve something out of that wood.

Jump forward about 25 years, and my daughter decided to join the scouts.

That trusty knife was still around and I was excited to give it to her for her gear.

Now, 10 years later, she is looking for a gift for her husband who is celebrating his first Father's Day.
